On 5 March 2025, a meeting with representatives of the scientific community, experts and leading specialists in the field of economic cooperation was held at the CIS Executive Committee Office in order to analyse the prospects for further economic development of the CIS and to complete the key document in the economic sphere — the Economic Development Strategy of the Commonwealth of Independent States for the period until 2030.
The expert community was represented by leading researchers and teachers from academies, universities and research institutes of the CIS member states.
Jurahonzoda Saodat Jurahon, Deputy Director of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, participated in the meeting from the Tajik side in the online format.
The Deputy Director of the Centre assessed the interregional cooperation, in particular, informed about the state and prospects of economic relations of Tajikistan with other CIS member states.
The meeting participants touched upon such key topics as digitalisation, technical regulation, ecology, industry and production cooperation, fuel and energy complex and energy security, mutual trade in goods and services, investment cooperation, etc. The meeting was attended by the participants.
Summarising the meeting, the participants emphasized the relevance and timeliness of the exchange of views and expressed their hope for further cooperation with the scientific community. They also noted the importance of holding such meetings-consultations on a regular basis.
